Biz Bits: New Lewiston hotel makes headway

Feb. 11—A Courtyard by Marriott Hotel under construction in Lewiston is anticipated to be finished by late summer of 2025 if the weather cooperates.

The hotel is at 2647 Nez Perce Drive between a Holiday Inn Express and a Hampton Inn, across the road from Nez Perce Plaza where Old Navy and Home Depot are located.

The Courtyard by Marriott will have 117 rooms and suites for extended stays, said Katherine Steed, the vice president of sales and marketing for Northwest x Southern Hospitality.

It will serve Starbucks coffee and have a bistro restaurant for hotel guests and the public. It will also feature a swimming pool and 1,800 square feet of meeting space that will be designed so it can be broken up into smaller spaces, said Steed, whose company will manage the hotel.

"We're excited about this project," she said.

The Courtyard will be the third property of Northwest x Southern Hospitality in Lewiston. It also manages the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn, both in Lewiston, as well as six hotels in Washington state, six in Alaska and five in Oregon. Last year, Northwest x Southern Hospitality completed a renovation of the Holiday Inn Express where it updated the entire hotel, including all of the guest rooms.

Companies such as Clearwater Paper make Lewiston a great place to invest, Steed said.

"Lewiston is very resilient," she said.
