David Dominé's true-crime memoir, "A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City" will be featured this weekend in an episode of Oxygen Network's "Snapped: Killer Couples."

The series features stories of couples who commit terrible crimes after their relationships devolve from love into manipulation, including what ultimately leads to a fatal breaking point.

"A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City," tells the bizarre tale of Louisville's Joseph Banis and his partner Jeffrey Mundt and their involvement in the murder of James Carroll in an Old Louisville mansion that once served as a sanatorium.

Dominé, an award-winning author, tour guide, and folklorist based in Louisville, dives into the details of the Banis and Mundt trials, police reports, and interviews with local neighbors, drag queens and others in the city’s LGBTQ community. In "A Dark Room in Glitter Ball City," the author pieced together a complex case that seemed to be a crime of passion.

Alongside his observations of the trials, Dominé learns details, gossip and scandals of the mansion itself which becomes a character of its own in the book. He also recently started offering a walking tour of the Old Louisville area where the grizzly murder occurred.
