Supporters of Narenda Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) gathered outside the state party’s headquarters in Bengaluru, India, on Thursday, May 23, after media projected the party would make major gains in the southwestern state of Karnataka.

Videos posted by the party’s local Twitter accounts shows supporters waving flags and cheering outside the party headquarters as the state party leader B.S. Yeddyurappa arrived.
