In 1968, Alexandra Nicholson kicked off her trampolining career in Rockford.

As a competitive gymnast, Nicholson claimed 12 national titles, numerous local and regional titles, and secured two senior F.I.T. World Championships titles on the trampoline.

In 2002, she was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame.
