Black Restaurant Week: Lexington SoulFeast has $10 meals of hot chicken, gumbo & more

Lexington’s annual celebration of the Black culinary experience is back: The fourth annual SoulFeast Week returns June 16-25.

The 10-day event celebrates Black-owned restaurants, chefs and farmers in Central Kentucky and is an opportunity to support the local businesses.

There also are separate ticketed events (details below), which this year also include “Proud to Pay” options that let patrons pay what they want (and pay it forward for others) for ticketed events.

But the highlight for many diners is Black Restaurant Week, June 19-25, where participating restaurants will offer special off-menu entrees for a price of only $10 each, including at least one ingredient in each dish sourced from a Black farmer through Black Soil KY.
