Black River's Travis Owen receives special Lorain County 8 football honor
The Lorain County 8 released its all-conference football teams, and several Black River Pirates were named to the teams.
Travis Owen was selected Defensive Lineman MVP. The senior was also a first-team selection on offense.
Joining Owen on the first-team offense were Joseph McKean and Billy Blicha.
Earning first-team honors on defense were Tyler Mrakuzic, Brandon Rollin and Eric Groesser.
Blake Hopkins and Andon O'Neal were second-team picks, while Treyce Wood was named to the honorable mention team.
