Black Travel Summit Celebrates Black Culture In Travel At Voyage In Color
On July 17-19, 2022, hundreds of travel professionals will invade the Hyatt Regency Miami for the Black Travel Summit presents Voyage in Color. This two-day, conference-style event will celebrate Black culture in travel and will highlight some of the accomplishments people of color have had in the industry.
Presented by Black Travel Summit, an organization dedicated to the enhancement, expansion, and support of Black travel professionals, Voyage in Color will have presentations from multiple keynote industry professionals including Hyatt’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Vondrasek, and Global Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Tyronne Stoudemire.
Attendees will also enjoy a plethora of tours, career development and content creation workshops, plus speaker series over the multiday conference.
Some of the programming topics featured during the event will include The Plight of the Black Travel Agent, Becoming a Hotel Owner, Being a Black Professional Travel Editor, and Meaningful Influence. Conference attendees will also be able to buy add-on tickets for other events including a yacht brunch/ day party, an award show, and a gala. There will also be a global bazaar and expo for attendees to visit during the conference.
Founded in 2019, the Black Travel Summit aims to educate both Black travelers and travel professionals to aid in their travel decision-making. Whether it’s advising on career opportunities, starting a business, or generating generational wealth, the Black Travel Summit stands in the gap for those who are a part of the global Afro-Diaspora seeking opportunities in the travel and tourism industry. Voyage in Color is another stride toward creating more access, inclusivity, and diversity in the industry.
In-person tickets for Voyage in Color start at $50 with virtual tickets starting at $75 for the weekend of festivities. All attendees will also be entered into a drawing to win many vacation packages.
