Black vehicle found in Atwood Lake on Monday, towed out Tuesday

MINERAL CITY — A black vehicle was towed from Atwood Lake on Tuesday, according to Adria Bergeron, director of marketing & communications for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District.

No one was inside the vehicle and no injury was reported from the incident, which remains under investigation, Bergeron said.

She said a person of interest has been identified. Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is suspected.

The vehicle went into the lake at the boat ramp closest to state Route 212 and the dam. It was found Monday.

Bergeron did not have details about the vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
