Attorneys for Blackhawk School District are fighting to keep its lawsuit against Norfolk Southern in Pennsylvania courts.

They say Pennsylvania is more convenient for people testifying for the district.

The district is suing Norfolk Southern for damages from the February train derailment and the release of chemicals.

Attorneys said the chemical release dumped a “lethal cocktail” on the district’s buildings.

The company wants the case moved to Ohio, where the derailment happened.
