The video clip announcement from Time lists some of the group's achievements, including becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella, being the biggest artists on YouTube with 83 million subscribers, their second studio album “Born Pink” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and their selection as U.N. Sustainable Development Goals advocates.
BLACKPINK told Time: “We’re the happiest when we do music. Good results followed because we’re always happily enjoying every moment. I think the power of our fans who always love and support us constantly is the biggest reason [behind our achievements]. We will do our best in every moment with gratitude in our hearts.”
In 2019, BLACKPINK was selected by the magazine as one of their Time 100 Next artists. In 2020, they were a Time person of the year nominee.
