  • Ryan Reynolds posted the first picture of his and Blake Lively’s third baby to his Twitter account.

  • Along with the announcement, Ryan included a statement regarding climate change policies.

It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, guys: Your favorite celebrity couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, has finally revealed the sex of their (not-so newborn) baby, and surprise! It’s a girl! I mean, it was really only a 50/50 chance, so don’t feel too bad if you got it wrong. I’m not sure exactly what we did to deserve this formal announcement today, but who am I to complain?

Ryan took to Twitter to deliver the news and shared a super-cute snap of him, Blake, and their youngest daughter spending some quality time together in the Canadian woods. He used the family’s baby announcement to advocate for Canadian government action to combat climate change. (Ryan is Canadian-American, remember?)

“I love B.C.,” Ryan wrote. “I want my daughters to experience the same natural playground I grew up in. On Oct. 21, the candidate you vote for will SHAPE CLIMATE POLICY. I’m proud of the climate progress made the last 4 years. Click http://Elections.ca for voting info. #Capilano.”

Note: Ryan used the word “daughters,” meaning that all his children are girls!

If you look closely, you’ll be able to tell that the baby’s face is edited to appear as a smiley face, but don’t freak—Blake and Ryan are only doing that to protect their baby’s privacy.

Blake and Ryan actually hid the birth of their daughter for two whole months, but that’s because they want to “do everything they can to make sure the kids have a normal upbringing,” according to an Us Weekly source.

Congrats to Blake and Ryan on their new baby girl. I’m sure she’s absolutely beautiful!
