Blake Shelton's new clothing line at Lands' End just dropped—here's what he had to say

Move over Tom Ford, there's a new celebrity designer in town. Blake Shelton launches his spring clothing collection with Lands' End on February 27, and just like with his fall collection, you can expect high-quality jeans, button-down plaid shirts and a whole lot of heart.

"It’s authentic to me," Blake explained about his line, When You Know. "It’s not just something that I just slap my name on because that happens plenty in this business. I have a girl named Susie who works with me and really helps me understand why it is that I love certain things. She helps really put all that together because I know zero about fabrics."

The spring and summer collection features an array of new button-down shirts, henleys, swimsuits and cargo shorts for men. Every piece in the collection is made with Blake's input, suited to his everyday style.

"Over the years I’ve been really particular about what I wear and a lot of that comes down to just what I’m comfortable in and what fits me," Blake explained.

'Comfort' is the keyword for his Lands' End collection. Blake worked closely with designers to ensure each shirt was just as soft as he'd like it and that the jeans were long enough to fit Blake and his friends back home in Oklahoma.

"We want stuff that’s cool looking but looks like stuff for working men," Blake said. "Things that look good that we could wear to church too."

When it comes to Blake's style, he describes his perfect spring outfit as a long-sleeved shirt paired with jeans and boots—all of which can be found in his collection.

"I like a shirt that I can roll up my sleeves," Blake said. "I don’t know why; I think when I look in the mirror, it makes me look muscular when my sleeves are rolled up."

For Blake, the standout of the collection is the jeans. He put a lot of work into ensuring the jeans were comfortable, durable and perfect for everyday wear.

"The truth is, unless I’m getting in water, I'm wearing jeans," Blake said. "Even though it’s summertime, I'm going to still wear my jeans. I’m really proud of them, I think they did a killer job making them into something that I love to wear. There’s a version that I wear on stage, there’s a version that I wear every day in everyday life working or just hanging out at the house.”
