Blindfolded Extinction Rebellion Demonstrators Protest at UN Climate Conference

Extinction Rebellion activists wearing black blindfolds over their eyes and protest messages emblazoned on their bodies demonstrated at the 2019 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Madrid on December 7.

According to a report from Publico, the protest was designed to raise climate change awareness and show discontent towards the practices of Endesa, the largest electrical company in Spain.

This footage shows the activists on the floor surrounded by a crowd taking photographs of them.
