Blindspot spoilers to follow.

Blindspot star Sullivan Stapleton has teased that there's major trouble ahead for Kurt Weller and the gang following his slip-up in the crime drama's most recent episode.

After failing to give up where his rogue agent pals were hiding while he was being tortured by the Dabbur Zann, the terror group injected Weller with a drug that caused him to have intense flashbacks to his past – most notably, ones that involved his former enemy Oscar and his father, Bill.

During the visions, Oscar attempted to make Weller doubt his relationship with Jane (Jaime Alexander), while Bill – who killed his son's childhood friend Taylor Shaw – tried to have him believe that he was partly responsible.

In his emotional, confused state, Weller accidentally revealed to mercenary Ivy Sands that his team were based in a European bunker, narrowing the Dabbur Zann's hunt for them and making an inevitable confrontation all the more likely.

"It's just a little hint of where they are, but the fact that they can take one of us and torture us until they get information, or take one of our lives – they can take the team one by one," Stapleton recently told TV Line. "That's a scary thing. It could be the downfall of the team."

“It has affected him," he said of his character's mistake. "'Can he trust himself?' That's a big thing to ask, and to start doubting himself in these moments — going up against such a big enemy, you cannot doubt yourself.

"You've got to be fully focused and sure of what you're doing."

Blindspot airs on Thursdays at 9pm ET on NBC.
