Southern California rockers Blink-182 will play their first show since reuniting their original lineup. The group is set to take the stage on Friday at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

When drummer Travis Barker, guitarist Tom DeLonge and bassist Mark Hoppus take the stage Friday evening, it will mark the first time the three have played together publicly since 2014. DeLonge announced the surprise set in typically raunchy fashion — an Instagram post of some of the group’s not-safe-for-work lyrics.

“Take off your pants and jacket,” the festival posted on Twitter, referencing the band’s 2001 album.

The San Dieo pop-punk group formed in 1992 before taking several hiatuses. DeLonge left the band in January 2015 and was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba until he returned in October 2022. The lineup is currently set to begin an U.S. and world tour later this spring, which had been delayed after Barker injured his hand.

Ahead of a potential new album, the band released the new song “Edging” last year.

Fans who are unable to make it to Indigo, Calif. to see Blink-182 in person can check out the set and livestreams from several other stages at the festival on Coachella’s YouTube channel. Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, Bjork, Rosalía, Gorillaz, Boygenius, Charli XCX and more are all scheduled to perform. British singer James Blake was also a last-minute addition to the lineup.

The festival runs April 14-16 and April 21-23.
