BLOG: Strong to severe storms cause damage, downed power lines in Tennessee Valley
(WHNT) — A cold front that tracked through the Tennessee Valley Wednesday morning brought rain and strong winds and left behind some damage and downed power lines.
A tight pressure gradient as the front moved through led to the strong winds the Tennessee Valley saw. Gusty primarily ranged from 35-40 mph, but isolated areas recorded higher gusts. Muscle Shoals recorded a 61 mph gust and Huntsville International Airport recorded a 51 mph gust.
