Olivia Wilde Steps Out Wearing New Engagement Ring
Olivia Wilde stepped out this week to chilly temps in Rome, but the first sight of her wearing her new engagement ring heated up the headlines. The 28-year-old actress – who is currently in Italy shooting the upcoming film “The Third Person” – announced plans to wed “Saturday Night Live” comic Jason Sudeikis, 37, last weekend. Though it’s tough to see much of the sparkler’s detail, the ring is reportedly antique and definitely large.
On Sunday, Wilde thanked fans for their kind words via Twitter. “Thanks for all the sweet congratulatory love, friends! And may I compliment your savvy use of that nifty engagement ring emoticon.”
The beauty was previously married to filmmaker/Italian prince Tao Ruspoli after the couple eloped and wed on a school bus back in 2003 when Wilde was 19 and Ruspoli was 27. It will also be the second trip to the altar for Sudeikis, who spent six years married to “30 Rock” writer Kay Cannon, whom he divorced in 2010.
Wilde and Sudeikis were first reported to be dating in December 2011 and took their relationship public in January 2012 when they were snapped smooching on a New York City street. A week later the two were spotted leaving a hotel in Palm Springs, California, after spending a stormy weekend together with Wilde’s dog Paco. Here’s hoping Paco’s happy with his new dad!
