Puigmania has, as expected, cooled off a bit in recent weeks. The rest of Yasiel Puig's rookie season wasn't going to be like that historic first month. It just wasn't. We all knew that.
That doesn't mean the 22-year-old Cuban phenom's first year in MLB is now anything short of remarkable. He's still a must-watch player. He's still hitting .373/.427/.594 (with 11 homers). Certainly the infusion of energy he gave then then-last place, now-first place Dodgers is immeasurable.
The Yahoo! Sports video staff put together this countdown of the top Puig moments so far this season. It's to his credit that there are a few more great plays that didn't make the cut — like that game-ending outfield double play in his first game, his walk-off homer last week or that throw to nail Bryce Harper at third base, even if the ump didn't think so.
With any countdown there's bound to be debate, so we have to ask: What's your favorite Yasiel Puig moment of 2013 so far?
