Elementary school students caught smoking marijuana in bathroom
Parents, faculty, and students are shocked after they found out three third grade students were caught smoking marijuana in a school restroom. The incident, which KTXL FOX 40 News says happened at Sonora Elementary School in California, took place at the end of February, but is being reported now.
Apparently, another student caught the three students in the act and told school officials. Police arrived shortly thereafter and the kids were sent home with their parents. It’s unclear how they managed to acquire the drugs.
KTXL reached out to the school district but were offered no comment. They did say, however, that they follow California’s Education Code, which says students can be suspended or even expelled for things like this.
