Woman torches car after McFlurry argument (with video)

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream. And well, one woman not only screams, she allegedly sets cars on fire if she doesn’t get her frozentreat. As WTEV CBS 47 News reports, a loud argument this past weekend inside a Jacksonsville, Florida McDonald’s over ice cream ended up with a car in flames.

WTEV spoke with witness Sabryna Maré, who said that a man and woman were standing behind her while in line at the registers. As she told the station, “They were going at it…She was saying she wanted this and wanted that, and she wanted either a McFlurry or an ice cream on top and he was not in for it. Then he was yelling at her saying he's not going to do it." Things didn’t settle down there. Maré told the station, “Next thing you know, she says 'I'm going to blow it up,' and we were wondering 'What are you going to blow up?'" 'It' was a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado.

WFTV Channel 9 News writes that witnesses then saw the woman grab the man’s keys and head off to their car. She poured alcohol and gasoline on it, lit it on fire, and then vanished into the night. Apparently, the man tried putting the flames out himself, with the assistance of Good Samaritans, but it wasn’t put out until fire fighters arrived on the scene.

WTEV notes that though the car was taken quickly out of the parking lot, people did notice it parked down the street. The station heard that police learned the plates didn’t match the car they were on. Did the woman eventually get her some ice cream? That’s a mystery that will need to be solved.
