Sharon Osbourne: Reality TV Was ‘The Biggest Mistake’ She and Ozzy Made

Reality television boosted Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's fame, but now "The Talk" host regrets ever doing it.

The rocker and his wife of 30 years — along with their children, Kelly and Jack — appeared on MTV's "The Osbournes" from 2002 to 2005. It was a runaway success and made all four into big stars. But it came at a cost, Sharon Osbourne said on the U.K.'s "Graham Norton Show" recently.

She called it "the biggest mistake" of her life.

"We both worked to continue a lifestyle we had become accustomed to and we had to travel so my kids spent quite a time away from us and you can never get that time back," she admitted.

"It was the biggest mistake I ever did, but would I have wanted to live a lesser life? You make the most of what you have. I don't know how, but Jack and Kelly came out just great."

Jack, who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, recently placed third on "Dancing With the Stars," while Kelly is a host on "Fashion Police."

But even though his kids have turned out to be successful, Ozzy agrees with his wife that the reality show damaged his family.

"The kids couldn't handle it, my wife couldn't handle it: She had colon cancer," he told the Quietus. "On the one hand it was phenomenal, on the other hand I had to watch my family [suffer]." Ozzy himself fell off the wagon.

He added, "Would we do it again? I dunno. I don't think so."
