Everybody Hates Chris

Last night was music’s biggest night with the 55th Annual Grammy Awards going down in Los Angeles, and all anyone could talk about was how Chris Brown didn’t stand and clap for Frank Ocean, even though everyone else did. Chris is still sulking about that whole parking lot altercation that they had two weeks ago.

February is clearly not a good month for Chris; not only did he lose to Frank Ocean in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category at the Grammys but on Saturday he got himself into a car accident where he crashed his Porsche. Brown claims that it was the paparazzi that caused the accident but the paparazzi say “You must Neva!” But you clearly can’t keep Chris down; he was all smiles and lovely dovey with Rihanna during last night’s show. It was only four years ago when Chris Brown beat Rihanna the night before the Grammys. Time clearly heals all wounds.

And now for the exciting part... judging people’s outfits.

Beyonce played it safe and slightly boring in this black and white Osman number.

But Beyonce’s little sister brought the Va-Va-Voom in this emerald green dress paired with spiked Louboutins.

Does Jennifer Lopez ever get it wrong? Ever?

Speaking of girls that can get it, Rihanna brought the fire to the red carpet in this custom creation by Alaia.

Rihanna’s nipples may have stolen the show though...

Alicia Keys looked out of place in her Azzedine Alaia black criss-cross semi-bare midriff mermaid dress. Is it just us or has Alicia Keys looked very unhappy lately?

And Kelly Rowland definitely stole the show is Georges Chakra dress. Lawd have mercy. Now that is how you dress up for an awards show (especially if you’re not even nominated).

Side Note: How is Amber Rose still pregnant? *claps once*

There was another award show on this weekend but it wasn’t as exciting as the Grammys. The BAFTAs went down on Sunday night and Ben Affleck proved once again that he is this year’s award show darling; his film Argo walked away with Best Picture and Best Director at Sunday night’s ceremony. Still no word as to why the American Academy didn’t deem him worthy for a best director nomination but that’s a blog post for another day.
