Couple announce pregnancy with ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ rap

Pregnancy announcement videos are a dime a dozen on social media, but sometimes a supercreative couple comes along and really hits it out of the park.  At the plate today, 31-year-old Jesse Meek and his wife Melissa Meek, 28, of Happy Valley, Ore., who created a custom rendition of the theme song from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Here are just some of the lyrics: “In Happy Valley, Oregon, livin’ and wed. Bought our first house and started to build our homestead.  Chillin’ out, maxin’, and relaxin’ all cool. While all thinking that our lives pretty much ruled.  When our family and friends, who were up to no good,  Started askin' questions about parenthood.  We told one little lie, said ‘It’s not time yet.’ Parents said, ‘We’re ready for grandkids, so get a move on it!’”

The couple, who call themselves “goofy” and “fun” said they uploaded the video for family and friends, and that they didn’t plan on it being viewed more than 3.1 million times on YouTube! They find out the sex of the baby around Mother’s Day, and plan on revealing it in another creative way.  Once again, the world will be watching.
