Watch this engaged couple grow old in front of each other, thanks to a lot of makeup

Meet Kristie and Tavis, an engaged couple in their late 20s who were given the chance to grow old together in a span of hours.

Thanks to the folks at The Cut and YouTube’s Field Day channel, the couple got the chance to fast-forward through their marriage to get a glimpse of what they’d look like in their 50s, 70s and 90s.

“My mom thinks this is the coolest thing ever,” Kristie said in the video, “She said, ‘What a treat for us. Because we’ll be gone when you’re that age. To get to see that…’ It’s a neat way to think about it.”

Using family photos for reference, a team of makeup artists began to age the couple and take them on the journey of a lifetime.

As the couple got older, things started getting emotional as they discussed what their lives had in store for them at each age.

“I can’t help but think about what the potential last 50 years were. To see her look like this makes me think of where we have gone to be next to each other looking like this,” Tavis said in the video.

“There’s some strange comforting feeling seeing him this way,” Kristie said when looking at Tavis at 90. “Being about to get married and embarking on all that, I couldn’t be more sure that this is what I want.”
