The Blonds fuse Broadway and fashion for their latest runway show

STORY: Designing duo The Blonds lived up to their over-the-top reputation, as it partnered with Moulin Rouge on Monday (September 09) night with the spectacular debut of its latest looks for spring 2020 on Broadway for New York Fashion Week.

The "The Blonds x Moulin Rouge!" fashion show combined the best of the brand and with the score of the original musical currently playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The musical numbers also included a performance by "Pose" star Billy Porter.

David and Phillipe Blond, according to the brand's official website, "are known for creating collections that are glamorously over the top with a rebellious twist that cater to the entertainment industry."

Models including Paris Hilton, who has walked in previous shows, Halima Aden and Gigi Gorgeous brought the designer duo's spring 2020 collection to life, wearing bejeweled, leopard and lace bodysuits and catsuits and sparkly headpieces.

Beyonce, Madonna, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus are among the many celebrities who have collaborated with the Blonds brand.

New York Fashion Week's five-day schedule, which previously ran for a full week, was streamlined to give buyers and editors more time to attend London Fashion Week, which follows directly after the New York event ends on September 11.
