Our Blood Institute holding blood drive at Park Plaza Mall on Saturday
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With the need for blood donations so great, Our Blood Institute is holding a blood drive event this Saturday.
Our Blood Institute Executive Director Carvin Brown and Joshua Gwin stopped by KARK 4 News to talk about the weekend event.
The Museum of Discovery and Nothing Bundt Cake kickoff blood drive is Saturday, Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Park Plaza Mall.
The drive will be held inside Park Plaza Mall on Level 2, Near Dillard’s West, Across from Foot Locker *while supplies last.
Our Blood Institute asking for blood donations in central Arkansas
Donors will receive a “When I’m Not Hibernating; I’m Donating Blood” Glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, one free admission to the Museum of Discovery, and a free bundtlet coupon from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Blood can be donated every 56 days, with platelets donated as often as every seven days, up to 24 times a year.
Anyone healthy person who is 16 years old or older can give blood.
Appointments to donate can be made online at OBI.org or by calling 877-340-8777. Walk-ins are also welcome.
