Blood & Treasure Season 2 Photos: More Globe-Trotting and Badassery on Tap as Series Moves to Paramount+

Blood & Treasure‘s Danny and Lexi are ready to lead you on another wild ride, as glimpsed in a first flurry of photos from Season 2 of the globe-trotting action-adventure drama, which will stream exclusively on Paramount+.
The series’ 13-episode sophomore season will premiere Sunday, July 17 on Paramount+ (with two episodes), to be followed by weekly Sunday releases.

Created by Matthew Federman and Stephen Scaia, Blood & Treasure follows antiquities expert Danny McNamara (played by Matt Barr) and cunning art thief Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas), who in Season 1 teamed up to track a ruthless terrorist who funded his attacks through stolen treasure. As the duo crisscrossed the world hunting their target in Season 1, they unexpectedly found themselves at the center of, you know, a 2,000-year-old battle for the cradle of civilization.
In the Season 2 premiere, titled “The Soul of Genghis Khan,” Danny and Lexi finish tracking down the last of Farouk’s black market antiquities and begin to make plans for their future. Said plans, alas, are quickly derailed when the Vatican is attacked by terrorists. A person from Danny’s past in turn resurfaces, leading them on a new hunt to recover one of the greatest lost treasures of Asia — the Spirit Banner of Genghis Khan.
