Bloom/Ray duo to perform Over the Rainbow and other Harold Arlen music in Duxbury

DUXBURY – The senior center will present the Bloom/Ray Duo, with Peter Bloom on flute and Tim Ray at the piano, in an afternoon of music called "Over the Rainbow and Other Hits by Harold Arlen"at 2 p.m. on April 5.

Tickets for the show, open to the public, are $5. The center is at 10 Mayflower St.

Harold Arlen wrote songs for The Wizard of Oz and countless hits for the Great American Songbook. Bloom and Ray will provide a tour of famous tunes like Accentuate the Positive, Stormy Weather, It’s Only a Paper Moon, The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, That Old Black Magic, and Over the Rainbow.

They have performed together for decades, known for stellar musicianship and entertaining concerts spanning jazz, blues, the Great American Songbook, and pan-Latin soundscapes.
