Which Bloomington area athletes have been named fall all-conference?
The fall all-conference teams for the three Bloomington area leagues have been announced. Here's a look at who was honored:
Conference Indiana
FOOTBALL: The All-CI First Team had a strong Bloomington component. The Offense includes QB Zach David, RB Gavin Adams and OL Hunter Smith from South and RB Cody Mikulich, WR Jarno Hicks, TE Aidan Steinfeldt and OL Max Wynalda from North. Also named were Columbus North's QB Zac Horn, WR Cooper Horn, OL Kok Kao Yee, OL Will Davis and ATH Tyler Blythe; RB Damon Sturm and WR Jaden Wayt from Terre Haute North; RB Josh Cottee, TE Chris Herrin and OL Jude McCoskey.
Named First Team Defense were DL Noah Fox, DL/TE Tysen Smith, LB Ralph Rogers, OLB Duke Conrad and DB Drew Crum-Hieftje from South; OLB Dylan Barrow and DB Cayden Riester from North; DL Savion Miles from Columbus North; Jesiah Richardson from Terre Haute North; LB Alex Rose, DB Nas McNeal and DB Nic Yatsko from Terre Haute South and LB Christian VanVolkenburgh from Southport. Kicking specialists were K/P Sam Cosner of South, P Graham Freund of North and KR/WR Deshaun Lowe of Terre Haute South.
Honorable mention went to North's WR Cole Grupenhoff, LB Zeke Trueblood and QB Dash King and South DB Grif Gillard, DL Asher Nicholson and TE Sawyer Bailey.
VOLLEYBALL: The All-CI First Team includes OH Cadence Ast, L Riley Walker and MH Raine Rolen from South; L Avery Freeman and MH Mia Robbennolt from North; Karen Dutro of Columbus North; Julia Ross of Terre Haute North; Lilly Merk, Mia Loyd and Claire Burbank from Terre Haute South and Olivia Acker and Macy Chafin of Southport. Honorable mention went to South's S Paige Washington and North's MH Leah Brown.
GIRLS' SOCCER: Bloomington members on the First Team include D/MF Annalise Coyne, D Emma Shaw, F Katherine Lacy, D Grace McKay and MF Nora Doyle of South and GK Rachel Campbell, MF Sarah Goldsworthy, F Chloe Hendrix-Petry and D Bella Winkler. Honorable mention went to North's MF Isaabelle Himebaugh and South's D Kiera Robinson.
BOYS' SOCCER: The First Team includes F CJ Santiago, F Sebastian Brena-Ochoa, D Jakob Orth and MF Joe DeGiorgio from South and MF Russel Bilohlavek and D Stefan Bartlett from North. Named honorable mention were D Noah Nelson and D Joe Luther of North and F Landon Ryner and MF Mateo Fuentes-Rohwer of South.
BOYS' TENNIS: Bloomington's representatives on the First Team were Nick Shirley, Esteban Crespo and Casey McIntyre of North and Michael Asplund, Chris Lian and Alex Busch of South. Honorable mention went to Brady Murphy.
Western Indiana
FOOTBALL: Teams were chosen representing both the Gold and Green divisions.
The Gold Division Team includes Zach Minnick of Edgewood; Christian McDonald, Brody Lester, Chris Zelstra, Bryson Pardue-Mills, Logan McGraw, Eli Hinshaw, Dillon Risk and Tim Harden of Owen Valley; Arj Lothe, Ethan Thacker, Daniel Foster and Lance Butler of Indian Creek; Lucas Copenhaver, Luke Adams and Joshia Wence of Sullivan and Gabe Stockrahm, Devon Barnhart, Dakota Mackey, Imer Holman, Kyle Cottee and Tyler Lee of Northview. Coach of the Year was OV's Rob Gibson.
Making the Green Division squad were Ben Wagler of Brown County; Tayton Jackson and McGuire Lee of Cloverdale; Aiden Beadles, Luke Switzer, Brock Heavin, Ethan Hardcort, Wyatt Kendall, Peyton Crickmore and Fisher Jones of South Putnam; Chase Carrington, Lamar Moore, Owen Huff, Jackson Buis of Greencastle; Miles Bryan, Noah Claycomb, Seth Fuhrman, Lucas Murphy and Trevor Roseboom of North Putnam and Kaleb Marrs, Brock Higgins and Region Hendricks of West Vigo. Coach of the Year was Chuck Sorrell of South Putnam.
VOLLEYBALL: Named All-WIC in volleyball were MH Kaiden Harrington, MH Gracie Farmer and S Adia May of Edgewood; Jaylan Kay of Owen Valley; Abigail Watson and Morgan Osborn of Brown County; Emily Mann of Cloverdale; Faith Wiseman and Adriana Williams of Indian Creek; Parker Mischler and Jacie Wilson of Sullivan; Caroline Gooch of Greencastle; Emmalyn Jeter of South Putnam; Ashleigh Riley and Kylie Rust of North Putnam; Audrey Lee, Keira Lucas, Badee McDonald and Karsyn Buck of Northview and Jaycee Elkins of West Vigo.
SOCCER: Included on the boys' team were Luke Cool of Edgewood and Elijah Weaver and Conner Wardlow. The girls' team included Emma Edwards and Olivia Koehring of Edgewood and Rebecca Brown of Owen Valley.
BOYS' TENNIS: Honorees included Quinn Norris and Mitch Deckard of Edgewood and Rhet Heckman and Kolton Jackson from Owen Valley.
SWIAC/Southwest
FOOTBALL: Eastern Greene's James Lewis (RB), Darrel Burton (OL) and Lane Stephens (WR) were named to the Southwest Conference First Team Offense, while Jedd Cummings (DB), Evan Rogers (DB) and Evan Ferkingstad (LB) were named First Team Defense.
VOLLEYBALL: Eastern Greene had four tabbed All-SWIAC, with Keylee Hudson making the First Team and Mallorie Elliott, Bayden Inman and Mallory Shelton earning honorable mention. The rest of the First Team included Audrey Warrick, Ella Warrick, Sophie Hale and Kylie Cookey of 2A state runner-up Linton; Brianna Bucher and Delaney Richardson from Bloomfield; Kylie Palmer and Evelyn Abrams from White River Valley; Brooke Pranger, Reagan Knapp and Kilee Wagler from North Daviess; Emma Yeryar of Shakamak, Gracie Overholtzer of Clay City and Kathryn Ison of North Central.
