Find out when Bloomington area restaurants reopen after the holidays

Even before COVID-19 hit Indiana two years ago (yes, two years ago), many Bloomington restaurants had planned closures during the Christmas and New Year's holidays, largely because fewer people are in the area when Indiana University is closed.

One of the restaurants that always closes during the holidays is Irish Lion Restaurant & Pub, at 212 W. Kirkwood Ave. This year, it will be closed through Jan. 12.

Other restaurants that are closed into the new year include:

Rainbow Bakery is at 201 Rogers St.

Rainbow Bakery, 201 S. Rogers St., will reopen to customers on Jan. 4.

Village Pub, 206 N. Walnut St., reopens Jan. 6.

Two Sticks Bakery, 415 S. Washington St., will be closed through Jan. 6.

FARMbloomington, 108 E. Kirkwood Ave., will be closed until Jan. 5.

Feast Market & Cellar will be closed through Jan. 6. It will be open 4-9 p.m. Jan. 7, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Jan. 8, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 9 for brunch and 4-9 p.m. Jan. 11. Normal hours (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) will resume on Jan. 12.

BuffaLouie's, 114 S. Indiana Ave., will be closed through Jan. 14. The longer closure is due to an upgrade of the kitchen hood system.

Upland Brewing Company, at 350 W. 11th St., will be closed for New Year's Day.
