Bloomington woman dies in I-69 crash in Greene County

A Bloomington woman died Tuesday afternoon when her SUV crashed on I-69 in Greene County.

Tonya Allgood, 49, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound when the vehicle traveled off the south side of the road into the median, according to a report from the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle traveled back onto the road and overturned, then landed in a ditch on the north side of the highway.

The report said Allgood was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A juvenile passenger was taken by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The accident happened at 2:42 p.m. at the 98 mile marker.
