'Blue bloods don't storm the court': Twitter sounds off on IU fans after win over Purdue
An age-old question in college basketball: When is it OK to storm the court after a big win?
After Indiana's win over No. 1 Purdue, fans ran on the court to celebrate the victory. But some people on Twitter weren't in favor of the act.
Despite the criticism, the win was the first time since 2013 IU took down a No. 1-ranked team.

Blue Bloods don't storm the court. Don't care if they are the #1 team. You don't do that.

Imagine calling yourselves a “blue-blood” or “one of the most historic programs in college basketball history” and then proceeding to storm a court after a big win. The two just can’t coexist with each other.
Stay lame, Indiana. https://t.co/LEGvjMv0wk— Tres Terrell (@TerrellTres) February 4, 2023
Why do we care if college kids storm the court? Sorry! You can’t celebrate cause we made it up some weird standard!

As an IU alum, I'm hereby overriding @ReceDavis & @SethOnHoops suggestion it's a bad look for Hoosiers fans to storm the court after beating #1 PU.
Two reasons:
1. The current students weren't born the last time IU made the Final Four;
2. It's fun to storm the court— Dave Dameshek (@Dameshek) February 4, 2023
“A blue blood shouldn’t storm the court”
Is coming from the same crowd who claims Indiana isn’t relevant, calls them “dusty banners”, and points out that todays students weren’t alive when the banners were raised.
Haters will always find a way to hate. Go Hoosiers #iubb— fake mike woodson (@MikeWoodsonFake) February 4, 2023
Love it. Every school should storm after every win. Court storming police are the worst, can't imagine going through life that miserable https://t.co/KH99qnBd1G
