Blue Flashes Seen in Storm Clouds as Tornado Warning Hits Southwest Florida

Tornado warnings were put in place in areas across southwest Florida on the morning of January 16, as a “line of severe storms” were reported to be moving the region throughout the day, the National Weather Service reported.

A number of videos were posted to social media on Sunday morning showing a suspected tornado in Fort Myers. Eyewitnesses reported swirling debris and flashes of blue light in the funnel.
