Blue Water Area bowling: White rolls 762; Ouellete gets first 600 series

Steve White led all local bowlers this past week with a 762 series in the Tuesday Classic league at Strikers Entertainment Center. The second best score also came from that session as Adam Digon put together a 744 series. Jeff Meldrum rounds out the top 3 with a 742 to lead Cowboys & Indians at Port Huron Lanes. Meldrum threw the high game of the week with a 289.

Stephanie Ouellette achieved her first-ever 600 series with a 623 in the Don McIvor Memorial league at Port Huron Lanes. Ouellette had games of 224, 210, and 189. Jill Friis led all women with an outstanding 694 series in Cowboys & Indians. Friis pitched games of 249 and 236.

Alicia Vennettilli rolled a 650 series in the Every Other Friday Misfits league at Bowl O Drome. Her high game in that set was 234. Kristie Lashbrook was also strong with a 640 in the McIvor league. The rest of the high series were Laurynn Ball 622, Heather Bombard 619, Kristin Winkler 617, Alyssa Crampton 609, Amanda Long 596 and Kate Beck 573.

Chuck Ouellette paced the McIvor league with a 735 series. He was followed by Andy Schultz 733, Tyler Fields 731, Brian Krauss 719, TJ Klein 718, Brian Harmon 712, and Ed Crampton 711.

Carl Schott and Ed Crampton tossed 279 games. Three others had 278, including Sebastian Freeman, Lew Gunn and Dale Camphausen. The remainder of the exceptional games were Tyler Fields 277, Travis Hollis 275, Jim Burns Jr 275 and Alex Thomes 274.

Laurynn Ball fired a 241 game in the Wednesday Women league at Strikers. Heather Bombard and Kristin Winkler both shot 224. Pam Alexandrowski completes the week’s dearth of accomplishments with a 221 game at Strikers.

Special Mention: Maggie Gossman was 66 pins over average with a 182 game and 96 pins over average with a 444 series in the Zebraettes league at Bowl O Drome.

Upcoming Tournaments: The Memorial Trio tournament will be Nov. 12 at Colony Bowl with two shifts available (10 a.m. and 1 p.m.). Combined average for the three teammates must be 645 or lower. The Fall Senior Nonsenior tournament will be Nov. 20 at Port Huron Lanes with openings still available for the 9 a.m. qualifying shift. The noon shift is full. The finals will immediately follow.
