Blueberries, strawberries, elderberries: Here's where to pick your own around Stark
John Wade is gearing up for a busy, berry-filled month.
His farm, Wade's Fruit Farm, in Stark County, opened to customers June 25. Visitors to his farm are able to pick and purchase blueberries and elderberries, all of which are organic, he said.
Due to sporadic weather patterns, however, he expects a low crop yield this season, which will affect the number of customers he anticipates will pay his farm a visit. Despite that, the retiree is looking forward to hosting whoever decides to come pick their own berries this summer.
