Bluefield Fire Department dedicates truck to “Lil Tony” Webster

BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — The Bluefield Fire Department dedicated Engine #5 to Anthony “Lil Tony” Webster III on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Tony Webster was a member of the Bluefield High School football team when he passed away unexpectedly in 2019.

“We’re extremely honored to be able to dedicate this fire engine to Tony Webster,” said Rodji Seldon, a firefighter with the Bluefield Central Station. “Him and his dad were big parts of the city of Bluefield with his dad being a coach and him being an individual who was always smiling, and he was a very humble individual, so it was great for us to have this opportunity to be able to do this for him.”

The fire engine is decked out with Tony’s nickname, his signature hashtag #Humble, and the Bluefield Beavers logo.
