Blues guitarist JoAnna Connor will play at Cafe Eleven on July 26 in St. Augustine.

Connor's current tour, which includes performances at the Chicago Blues Festival and Alpine Country Blues Festival in June, takes her to Germany, Finland, Sweden and Norway in late June and early July before returning to the United States.

She has nine scheduled stops in Florida in July, including Tallahassee, Tampa, Bradenton, Boca Raton, Fort Myers and Key West, with St. Augustine being the last.

Blues was a major part of Connor's childhood in Worcester, Massachusetts. A performance by Buddy Guy left an impression on her. And then in 1984, she moved to Chicago to immerse herself in the city's blues culture. Videos of her guitar playing have gone viral on YouTube.

Connor has released 14 albums in her career, with her latest, "4801 South Indiana Avenue," — produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith — released in 2021. It reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Blues Albums Chart. She has played with James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Page and Larry McCray.
