Blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa returns to St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Legendary blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa has announced his 16-city spring tour will bring him back to St. Augustine.

Grammy nominee Bonamassa, who performed at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Dec. 10, 2021, will make his return in the tour's final stop at 8 p.m. March 11, 2023. He also wrapped up his 2019 tour at the Amphitheatre.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre box office and ticketmaster.com. Prices range from $46.50-$256.50. The box office, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, accepts credit and debit card payments only. Avoid ticket fees by purchasing tickets in person.

His tour kicks off Feb. 15 in Charleston, West Virginia. His other performance in Florida is at the King Center in Melbourne.

Bonamassa started playing guitar at age 4 and started his career when he was 12, opening for B.B. King many times in 1989. He has released 15 albums.

His 15th and latest studio album, "Time Clocks," earned Bonamassa his 25th No. 1 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart. It was released by J&R Adventures on Oct. 29, 2021. The album includes 10 songs, including the singles “Notches” and “The Heart Never Waits.”

He released his latest live album “Now Serving: Royal Tea Live From the Ryman” in 2021.
