Board of elections issues notice of election

Apr. 18—NORWALK — The Board of Elections of Huron County, Ohio, issues this Proclamation and Notice of Election.

A Primary/Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at the usual place of holding elections in 18 precincts throughout the county or at such places as the board may designate, for the purpose of choosing Republican candidates for the following office:

City of Bellevue: President of Council, Auditor, Director of Law, Member of Council at Large, Member of Council 3rd Ward, Member of Council 4th Ward, Judge of the Municipal Court and determining the following questions or issues:

Edison Local School District — Bond

PURPOSE: constructing, renovating, and improving school facilities

RATE: 6.71 mills for 37 years

City of Willard — Income Tax

PURPOSE: hiring, training, and purchasing of equipment for fire and police divisions

RATE: 1/2 % of income

Township of Fairfield — Additional

PURPOSE: fire ambulance and EMS

RATE: 1 mill for 5 years

Township of Ridgefield — Renewal

PURPOSE: maintenance and operation of cemeteries

RATE: .0.25 mill for 3 years

Village of New London — Additional

PURPOSE: park and recreation

RATE: 3 mill for 5 years

Vermilion River Ambulance District — Renewal

PURPOSE: ambulance and EMS

RATE: 1 mill for 5 years
