Board votes on sub fees
Aug. 17—NORWALK — Increased fees were considered and voted on at Tuesday night's Norwalk City Schools board of education meeting.
The board voted to reimburse all newly hired substitutes for background checks and ODE license application fees, once 5 assignments have been completed, using ESSER funds.
Also voted on were substitute rates effective Aug. 23.
—$100 sub teacher per day ($50 for a 1/2 day)
—$105 sub retired teacher per day ($52.50 for a 1/2 day) and after working 40 days as a sub teacher to begin with day 41.
—$12.50 per hour for classified subs
—$15 sub bus driver per hour for athletic/academic trips
—$17.50 sub bus driver per hour for routes
The board also recognized Laura Winkler for 35 years in education.
Morgan Savage from the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center discussed the proposed new fee schedule.
