Boater Takes to Flooded Highway Amid Deluge in British Columbia

Flooding and mudslides were playing havoc with transport links in southern British Columbia on November 15, after an atmospheric river dumped excessive rain on the Pacific Northwest.

At least one person wasn’t going to let water be the problem, however, as video by Elliot Vossen showed a boater taking to a flooded lane of the Trans-Canada Highway outside Abbotsford.

Vossen declared the boater the “winner of this year’s flooding”.
