Boaz man killed in single-vehicle crash on I-20 near Heflin

Aug. 4—A Boaz man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 20 eastbound, about three miles east of Heflin, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced in a press release.

David Edwards, 62, was fatally injured when the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Edwards was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred near the 207 mile marker.
