Trainer Bob Baffert currently has six Kentucky Derby wins to his name – although a seventh winner from his stable was disqualified.

Saturday marked Medina Spirit's first trip to the Kentucky Derby winner's circle, but trainer Bob Baffert has been there a few times.

Medina Spirit's surprising victory in the race marked Baffert's seventh Kentucky Derby win, the most by any trainer in history. The colt paid $26.20 for the win.

Here's a quick look at the rest of Baffert's winners, starting with his first victory in 1997.

1997 - Silver Charm

Baffert's first Kentucky Derby victory came by way of Silver Charm in 1997.

The colt pulled away with the win late in the race and paid $10 to win, with jockey Gary Stevens aboard. He'd go on to win the Preakness Stakes before finishing second to Touch Gold in the Belmont Stakes.

1998 - Real Quiet

What better way to follow up one Kentucky Derby win than by winning another?

Baffert was back in the winner's circle one year later in 1998 with Real Quiet, who had Kent Desormeaux aboard him and paid $18.80. Real Quiet won the Preakness Stakes two weeks later but finished second behind Victory Gallop in the Belmont Stakes.

2002 - War Emblem

Baffert's War Emblem was the best of the bunch four years later in 2002, with jockey Victor Espinoza riding him to a convincing victory.

The relative longshot paid $43 to win. War Emblem went on to win the Preakness Stakes but stumbled at the beginning of the Belmont Stakes, which was won by 70-1 longshot Sarava.

2015 - American Pharoah

It took 13 years for Baffert to win another Kentucky Derby, but the wait was worth it.

The favorite in the race, American Pharoah pulled away from the pack in the stretch to deliver another victory for Baffert and Espinoza, his jockey. He paid $7.80 to win. American Pharoah went on to win the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes, marking the first Triple Crown victory since 1978.

2018 - Justify

In the rainiest Kentucky Derby ever, Justify was convincing in his win, with jockey Mike Smith on board. The favorite in the race, he'd pay $7.80 to win.

Justify went on to win the Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes, marking Baffert's second Triple Crown, and retired undefeated later that year.

2020 - Authentic

Baffert was back in the winner's circle two years later with Authentic, who was ridden by John Velazquez and paid $18.80 to win in a race that took place in September with no fans in attendance at Churchill Downs.

Authentic finished second in the Preakness Stakes and did not run in the Belmont.

2021* - Medina Spirit

Baffert's record-breaking seventh Kentucky Derby victory came in 2021, with Medina Spirit. Velazquez was back on board in that race as well, with Medina Spirit holding off a late challenge to capture the win.

The record didn't last, though. Medina Spirit was later disqualified over a failed drug test, with second-place finisher Mandaloun being crowned the race's winner in his place.
