Bob Dole, former senator and Republican presidential nominee, dies at 98

Bob Dole, the longtime senator from Kansas and 1996 Republican presidential nominee, died on Dec. 5 at 98. He received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star for his service in the Army during World War II and also served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives.
