Bob Dylan is set to return to Lubbock, bringing his "Rough and Rowdy Ways" tour to the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts & Sciences on March 8.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28 through bobdylan.com and buddyhollyhall.com, according to an announcement from the Buddy Holly Hall at 1300 Mac Davis Lane in downtown Lubbock.

Ticket prices are $59, $89 and $129, with a limited number of VIP packages also available. Call (806) 79-BUDDY / (806) 792-8339 for more information.

The show is presented by AEG and is part of Dylan's 2021-2024 "Rough and Rowdy Ways" tour in support of his 39th studio album of the same title, which was released in 2020. The show is set for 8 p.m. March 8, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Dylan last performed in Lubbock in 2009, joining Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp for a show at Texas Tech's Jones AT&T Stadium. He was scheduled to return to the Hub City in 2016 at the now-demolished City Bank Auditorium but that show was cancelled three weeks in advance. The promoter gave "tour scheduling conflicts" as the reason for the cancellation back in 2016, according to an Avalanche-Journal story at the time.

In an election in 2018, Lubbock voters OK'd a plan to return the Lubbock Municipal Auditorium and Coliseum to Texas Tech as the venue was increasingly in disrepair due to years of neglect. Tech soon demolished the building, which sat across a parking lot from Jones AT&T Stadium.

The legendary musician and songwriter made his Lubbock debut in 1991 at the same auditorium, according to A-J archives.

The Buddy Holly Hall officially opened last year.
