Bob Turk Has An Updated Look At Your Forecast
BOB TURK: We've got 57 degrees now. It's cooling down a little bit, but look at that. Ocean City down to 51, Dover 50, still 61 Hagerstown and Cumberland. But it'd get pretty warm this afternoon for a little while. 71 at 3:59, 52 the lows so far but 62 and 41 are the normals. Keep that in mind. 91 26 are the records. We have got some light rain across northern Virginia right now. A couple of heavier echos showing there, Shenandoah Valley. It's all moving off to the East.
BOB TURK: So eventually, probably 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 in the morning, we'll look for some rain to move in the area. Maybe as much as a quarter of an inch overnight into tomorrow morning. After the initial little batch of rain and cloud cover, I think we'll probably stay dry most of the day, but a lot of cloud cover. I don't think we'll see a whole lot of sun tomorrow. Then we'll look to the weekend there's a front to the West of us.
It's got more shower activity with it, and we're probably going to be dealing with at least the chance of more rain here sometime late Saturday and again into early Sunday. So we've got a little batch of rain moving through, then it stops, and then during the day on Saturday some-- maybe a little bit of brightening in the sky, some showers later on, and a good chance Sunday morning scattered rain, maybe some thunder with that funnel around you going through the area. As you can see, at least that's what's indicated on the Futurecast.
Behind that, clearing skies by late in the day on Sunday, and then on Monday it looks like a really nice start to next week. Another chance of showers, but not until the end of next week, probably a week from today. So overnight tonight, becoming cloudy overnight, right now not too bad out there. Some rain or drizzle developing probably overnight. 52 by morning, so rather mild night. Tomorrow, morning shower mainly cloudy, could be some sun in the afternoon. Tomorrow a lot colder than today, maybe not even getting up to 62 degrees, East-Southeast winds at 7-14 off the ocean, which is going to keep us cooler.
As we head into the next week and into the weekend, there will be an additional chance of shower activity here coming Saturday night into Sunday. 70 degrees Saturday, and then the best chance of warm temperatures Sunday, but some showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Drier Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, looks pretty nice earlier next week. Maybe another shower, but not until a week from now. High at 62 next Thursday. And we'll be right back.
