The 51st Bob Wills Day was celebrated by the town of Turkey, Texas this Saturday, a yearly attraction for lovers of Western Swing music.

Fiddler Greg Gibbs of Iowa Park sings Friday night at the Church of Western Swing in Turkey, Texas. The town celebrated its 51st Bob Wills Day on Saturday, ending several days of musical events with a parade, car show, outdoor concert presented by Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts and a dance at the Bob Wills Center featuring Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys. The yearly event attracts large numbers of Western Swing musicians and fans. The Church is a popular venue for nightly music and also for church on Sunday morning.
