Bobby Flay Loves This Italian Cookware Brand, and Now So Do I

Of all the famous chefs we look up to for culinary inspiration, Bobby Flay is one of the most recognizable. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone who isn’t familiar with his Food Network and Cooking Channel appearances in the early 2000s. So when I discovered that the new pans I was testing out from Italian cookware brand Sardel were also a favorite of Flay’s, I felt like I was ready for my own turn on Throwdown! With Bobby Flay.

Flay has long been a fan of Sardel. According to the brand’s website, the celebrity chef owns the full stainless steel set. He even posted about the brand on his Instagram account over the holidays, noting that it wasn’t a sponsored post, he just loves the Italian cookware.

Before I realized Sardel was Flay-approved, I made my own opinion about the pots and pans. While I’m no Iron Chef, I do cook most of my meals myself in a small kitchen with an even smaller sink and no dishwasher in sight. So high-quality pots and pans that are easily stackable for storage and wipe clean without vigorous scrubbing are a necessity in my life, and Sardel’s offerings tick all of these boxes.

If you’re looking to overhaul your entire cookware collection, the full set that Flay swears by is your best option. It comes with both non-stick and regular skillets in multiple sizes, a four-quart saute pan, a two-quart sauce pan, and an eight-quart stock pot, plus lids for the two pans and pot. All of the pieces are made in Italy thanks to the partnership of a multi-generational family business, which has been manufacturing steel products since the early 1900s.

The high-quality cookware may be more expensive than what you could find at your local department store, however, it’s well worth the price. The pots and pans heat evenly and adjust to temperature changes quickly. They’re also all oven-safe and feature smart design details like heat-resistant handles and curved edges to help avoid spills and splatters when pouring or tossing ingredients. Plus, Sardel lets you try its products for up to 30 days to ensure that you really love them. If they don’t suit you for whatever reason, you can return them with free shipping.

If you’re not ready to invest in a full set, but want to give the brand a try, the 10-inch non-stick skillet is one of the most versatile of the collection, and it’s perfect for novice chefs like me. It has a honeycomb pattern and non-stick interior that makes cooking and cleaning a cinch. I’ve been using it for everything from scrambled eggs to stir fry because it’s just so easy to clean, even after it’s been left sitting out.

Plus, right now you can save 10 percent on your first order by using the promo code KITCHEN10 at checkout. Head to Sardel to try out the celebrity chef-approved cookware now.
