Bock Family Foundation announces 2023 spring grant recipients
The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. announced that $76,445 was awarded to 23 grant recipients on Monday, April 24 at a presentation held at the Perry Public Library. Since 2002, The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. has awarded grants totaling more than $2.4 million, including grants awarded in this grant cycle.
The recipients of spring 2023 grant awards include:
Dallas County Conservation Board – $7,500 for RRVT/HTT Connector Phase VI
Dallas County Soil & Water Conservation Commission – $3,500 to fund web page
Perry Police Department – $4,000 for Community Traffic & Drug Safety Effort
Perry Public Library – $2,000 for KidsFest 2023
Dallas County Hospital Foundation – $7,500 towards Dialysis Center
Raccoon River Pet Rescue – $3,000 additional fencing for dog play/run area
Perry Lutheran Home – $5,000 towards whirlpool spa for residents
Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church – $5,000 for Sleep Space for Perry community members in need
Perry Area Emergency Food Council – $2,500 for Pantry Farmers Market Dollars
Perry Area Child Development Center – $7,000 for scholarships
Everybody Wins!Iowa – $2,000 for Power Read Program in Perry Elementary
P.A.C.E.S. – $7,500 for summer program
Perry Community Schools FCS Program – $1,000 to purchase restaurant equipment for Bluejay Café Coffee Bar
Perry Elementary School – $815 to update flexible seating options at Perry Elementary Library
Dallas County Habitat for Humanity – $4,000 for Home Preservation Program
Dallas County Fair Association – $1,000 to add picnic tables to campgrounds
Panther Creek Church of the Brethren – $3,600 to supply Blessing Box
Washington Township Cons. School Foundation – $2,000 to replace breaker panel & remodel small bathroom
City of Bouton – $3,500 towards Bouton Trailhead
Minburn Community Betterment Group – $800 for Meet Me in Minburn Concert Series
Minburn Area Firefighters Association – $1,230 to replace 2 legacy VHF-only pagers
Adel United Methodist Church – $1,000 to purchase 20"x40" tent canopy, folding tables & benches
AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport Inc – $1,000 to create equipment kit for search & rescue of lost/stray/feral dogs & cats
The Bock Family Foundation, Inc., located in Perry, was established by the Larry Bock and Barbara Bock Estates in 2002, and is a nonprofit supporting organization for the benefit of organizations operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. Projects funded must be located in Dallas County. Applicants must be a nonprofit organization or a unit of state or local government.
The foundation awards grants in the spring and fall. Application deadlines are March 1 and Sept. 1 respectively.
