Bock Family Foundation announces fall grant recipients

The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. announced that $91,725.82 was awarded to 21 grant recipients at a presentation held on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Perry Public Library. Since 2002, The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. has awarded grants totaling more than $2.4 million, including grants awarded in this grant cycle.

The recipients of fall 2022 grant awards include:

  • Dallas County Conservation Board – $8,000 for RRVT/HTT Connector Phase V

  • Dallas County Master Gardeners – $3,370.50 towards Demonstration Garden

  • Dallas County Hospital Foundation – $8,000 for Smart ABI machine

  • DCH Foundation Family Medicine Clinics – $2,000 for Blessing Box

  • First United Methodist Church of Perry – $5,625 to replace windows & gutters

  • P.A.C.E.S. – $8,000 for Before/After School Program

  • Perry Area Child Development Center – $6,000 for tuition assistance

  • Perry Little League – $6,800 to reconstruct Junior League field & practice pitcher mounds

  • The Perry School Foundation – $4,000 towards Perry Veterans Memorial Park Field of Poppies and enhanced lighting

  • Perry Area Emergency Food Council – $2,500 for meat protein for Food Pantry

  • Nudgers, Inc. – $2,000 towards concrete re-staining of Big Bike Perry, IA

  • Pegasus, Inc. – $1,047.32 to expand programming & accessibility

  • City of Bouton – $6,000 towards Bouton Trailhead

  • Minburn Area Firefighters Association – $3,520 for replacement of SCBA cylinders

  • City of Minburn – $5,300 towards remodeling City Hall

  • Friends of Minburn Public Library – $1,672 for meeting room tables & chairs

  • City of Dallas Center Parks & Recreation – $1,500 towards pool

  • Linden Public Library Foundation, Inc. – $1,391 for bookshelf & storage cabinet

  • AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport Inc. – $2,500 for spay/neuter clinics

  • Heart of Transit – $7,500 for FlexConnect in City of Perry

  • Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa – $5,000 for program funding

The Bock Family Foundation, Inc., located in Perry, was established by the Larry Bock and Barbara Bock Estates in 2002, and is a nonprofit supporting organization for the benefit of organizations operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes.

Projects funded must be located in Dallas County.
